2027 Benefits Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment for 2027 benefits will be held Monday, November 9 through Friday, November 20. This is your annual opportunity to review and adjust your benefits for the upcoming plan year, effective January 1, 2027.

What’s Changing for 2027?

NEW! Voluntary Benefits

To provide employees with additional financial protection and greater choice in benefit coverage, We are expanding your voluntary benefit options with three new Unum insurance plans that give you added flexibility in managing healthcare expenses.

  • Critical Illness Insurance: Provides a lump-sum benefit of $10K, $20K, or $30K upon diagnosis of a covered serious illness, such as cancer, heart attack, or stroke.
  • Hospital Indemnity Insurance: Provides cash benefits for covered hospital admissions and stays, including those related to illness, injury, or childbirth.
  • Accident Insurance: Provides cash benefits for covered injuries and accident-related treatment.

Medical Plans

The premiums for both BCBS plans will increase in 2027. Below are the 2027 BCBS plan rates:

To remain compliant with IRS requirements, the BCBS PPO Saver Plan deductibles will increase to $1,750 for individual and $3,500 for family coverage.

For all other plan rates, please visit the Eligibility & Essentials page.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

For 2027, the HSA contribution limits will increase to $4,500 for individual coverage and $9,000 for family coverage. Participants age 55 and older may contribute an additional $1,000.

Servier’s HSA contribution will increase to $1,400 for individual coverage and $2,800 for family coverage (requires enrollment in the BCBS PPO Saver Plan).

Vision Plan

The VSP vision plan frame and contact lens allowances will increase to $250.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)

The Healthcare and Limited Purpose FSA limits are projected to increase in 2027; however, the IRS has not yet shared the new limits. We will publish an update once this information is available.

Who Needs To Enroll?

Most current benefit elections will automatically carry forward to 2027. However, you must take action during Open Enrollment if you wish to:

  • Enroll in a benefit program including one of the new voluntary insurance plans.
  • Participate in a Healthcare, Limited Purpose, or Dependent Care FSA in 2027. FSA elections do not carry over, so re-enrollment is required each year.
  • Make changes to your current benefit elections, including changing plans or coverage levels. You should also take this time to review your dependent information and ensure your life insurance beneficiaries are current.
