Family & Caregiver
Resources

Balancing work and family responsibilities isn’t always easy. That’s why we offer a variety of programs to support you and your loved ones. Whether you’re caring for your children, family members, or planning to grow your family, these resources are designed to make life a little easier, so you can focus on what matters most.

Bright Horizons Back-Up Care

Whether your regular child or elder care coverage falls through, takes a break or you just need an extra set of hands, Bright Horizons Back-Up Care is available to save the day. Servier employees get 10 back-up uses/year to use for back up childcare, elder care, adult care, pet care, or tutoring.

Back-Up Child Care

Bright Horizons pulls from an extensive network of options to cover gaps in care: center-based and in-home care and age-appropriate options for school-age children, including day camps to cover school breaks, holidays, and summer vacations.

  • Center-based care provides access to a nationwide network of high-quality, licensed childcare centers, including hundreds of accredited Bright Horizons centers.
  • In-home care offers reliable child care in the comfort of your own home. All caregivers are employed by Bright Horizons and fully vetted and screened. One in-home caregiver can care for up to three children.

Back-Up Adult and Elder Care

Your benefit includes trustworthy in-home care for your adult and elder loved ones. There are options for both respite and recovery care:

  • Respite care — when your loved one’s regular caregiver is not available.
  • Recovery care — when your loved one has had minor surgery and needs a caregiver for the first few days of recovery at home.

Tutoring Through Back-Up Care

Professional tutoring is also included in your Bright Horizons Back-Up Care benefit and spans 3,000+ subjects, including prep for standardized testing. Tutoring is available from top partners — Sylvan Learning, Varsity Tutors, and Revolution Prep — all chosen by Bright Horizons based on their quality, learning platform, and breadth of topics offered.

  • Available for all learners ages 5+, including you.
  • Book tutoring sessions through the back-up care reservation process.

Pet Care Through Back-Up Care

Access trusted care for your dog or cat from vetted providers for services such as walking, boarding, and sitting.

    • Exchange back-up care for credits to use on provider websites.
    • Find local caregivers who will treat your pet like family.
    • Available for walkers, daycare, overnight boarding, and more.
    • Easy-to-book options for both dogs and cats.
