Time Off &
Leave Programs

We all lead busy lives, and it is vital that we take time away from work to rest, recharge, or do what you love most – whether that’s traveling, volunteering, or just binging your favorite TV show. That is why Servier offers a flexible time off program that you can structure to best fit your needs.

Flexible Paid Time Off

There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to time off. That’s why Servier offers Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO). Servier’s Flexible PTO policy has no set number of vacation, sick, or personal days. Instead, you’re encouraged to balance your work and life and take the time you need when you need it.

This means some years, you might take more days for travel, family, or rest and other years, less. What’s important is keeping the lines of communication open with your team and making sure business needs are still met.

Keep in mind…

If you’re out for more than 7 consecutive calendar days due to illness or injury, you may qualify for other programs. Please connect with HR and Unum to apply for Short-Term Disability (STD).

Please refer to the Servier Flex PTO policy for additional information and guidelines regarding how to use this program.

Servier recognizes our employees come from diverse backgrounds and many members of our team observe holidays and festivals beyond the U.S. Company Holidays outlined above. As part of Servier’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, we encourage all employees to utilize our flexible time off program to observe holidays and dates that are important to them.

Winter & Summer Shutdown

Each year, at the discretion of our CEO, Servier may close the office for a winter and summer shutdown to give everyone a collective break. The winter break usually occurs the week between Christmas and New Year’s and the summer break is usually in August. The shutdowns are typically communicated a few months in advance.

Summer Fridays

To support your well-being and encourage balance, you are encouraged to minimize calls and meetings on Friday afternoons and, when possible, wrap up the workday a bit earlier to enjoy time with family, friends, or simply to recharge.

Summer Fridays for 2025 will begin Friday, May 30th and end with Labor Day weekend in September.  You are trusted to manage your responsibilities while making space for well-deserved rest.

Parental & Family Caregiver Leave

We’re proud to support employees with growing families and those with caregiving responsibilities by providing up to 12 weeks job-protected, paid family leave. This leave is available to all US, active, full and part-time regular employees and can be used for:

  • Parental (Bonding) Leave to welcome a child by birth, adoption, or foster care placement.
  • Family Caregiver Leave to care for a family member with a serious health condition.

Birth Mothers: May be eligible for additional paid time through Short-Term Disability to support postpartum recovery.

How to Apply

You can apply for a Parental or Family Caregiver leave in 3 ways:

  • Online by registering for an online account via unum.com/claims.

Coordination with Federal and State programs:

  • Parental and Family Caregiver leave will run concurrently with leave taken under any other applicable state and federal leave laws or Servier policies.
