Life is full of big, important moments – from starting a family to planning for retirement, caring for a loved one, or sending a child off to college. Servier’s benefit programs are designed to support you through these milestones and provide you with resources to make each step of your journey a little easier.

Preparing for Parenthood

Welcoming a new child is an exciting and life-changing experience. Servier offers many programs to help as you prepare for this new chapter.

  • Parental Leave: Servier offers 12 weeks of paid leave to bond with your new child. Employees should apply for this leave with Unum. Visit the Time Off and Leave Programs page to learn more about the Servier Bonding leave.
  • Adoption/Surrogacy Support: If you are using a surrogate or pursuing adoption to grow your family, you may be eligible for a reimbursement of expenses under Servier’s Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement Policy.
  • Benefit Considerations: Having a new child is considered a Qualifying Life Event which allows you to make changes to your benefit elections within 30 days, including enrolling in the Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account which can provide tax savings on childcare costs, or LegalEASE to save money on legal fees on a variety of legal matters. You can also add your new child to your medical, dental, and vision coverage, and increase your life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.
  • Financial Considerations: Review and update your tax withholding information in ADP, if necessary as well as your your beneficiary designations for life insurance. You should also review your 401(k) beneficiary designations in Fidelity. Consult with a CAPTRUST financial advisor to create a financial plan for any savings goals you may have or to discuss how your new child might impact your current plan.
  • Childcare and Educational Resources: Employees have access to Family Support benefits through Bright Horizons. Bright Horizons can help you find an in-home or center-based childcare provider or help you find back-up coverage if your regular provider is unavailable. They also offer tutoring, summer camp and educational programs as well as additional resources for new and expecting parents.
  • Explore KGA Resources: KGA, Servier’s Employee Assistance Program, offers expert parenting support and consultations for all your needs, including coaching for adoption, fertility, parenting challenges, childcare, special needs, and many other topics. Wellness & Nutrition experts are available for lactation consulting and sleep coaching. Access legal experts to consult with estate planning, wills and trusts, and so much more.

Preparing for College

Preparing for you or your child’s college journey can be both exciting and overwhelming. Below are some programs you can access to keep you prepared and organized during this important milestone.

  • Tuition Reimbursement: Servier provides a tuition reimbursement if you are embarking on continuing your education. Review Servier’s Tuition Reimbursement Policy for eligibility requirements and additional details.
  • College Admissions and Planning Resources: College Coach’s team of experts is made up of former college admissions and financial aid officers and can provide one-on-one personalized education planning guidance, a customized college list for your student, college application essay reviews, guidance and support with the financial aid applications, and much more.
  • Saving for College: Consult with a CAPTRUST financial advisor to create a college savings plan or to navigate any changes that may occur with your financial situation.
  • Explore KGA Resources: KGA, Servier’s Employee Assistance Program, offers expert consultations for all your needs, including college planning coaching and special education consultations. Work-life consultants can provide assistance in finding services for common family needs, and you can access a support group, provided by HeyPeers, for a variety of topics including anxiety and parenting teens.
  • Benefits Considerations: If your student is moving away from home and will need to find a new healthcare provider, reach out to an Alight Health Pro for help finding new providers in your student’s area.

Becoming a Caregiver

While caring for an aging parent or relative can be rewarding experience, it can also be stressful and emotionally challenging. Servier provides the resources and tools to help you manage the emotional, logistical, and financial challenges of caregiving so you can focus on your loved one.

  • Family Caregiver Leave: Servier offers 12 weeks of paid leave to care for a family member with a serious health condition. Employees should apply for this leave with Unum. Visit Time Off and Leave Programs to learn more about the Servier Caregiver leave.
  • Elder/Adult Care Resources: Employees have access to Family Support benefits through Bright Horizons. Experienced Care Coaches can provide ongoing and personalized support, an in-home needs assessment, specialized referrals, and legal and financial assistance. You will also have access to a dedicated online platform for planning and coordinating care. They can also assist with finding back up in-home care or companion care.
  • Healthcare Support: Contact an Alight Health Pro to help you navigate your loved one’s healthcare needs, including finding care providers, setting up appointments, and resolving billing issues. They can also assist with questions around Medicare and Medicaid. Reach out to LegalEASE, if enrolled, for help with designating a living will or power or attorney. Not enrolled? Not a problem – KGA also has legal experts who can provide consultations on a variety of legal or elder/adult care topics.
  • Financial Considerations: CAPTRUST financial advisors are available at no cost to discuss any financial concerns you or your family may have.
  • Explore KGA Resources: KGA’s licensed counselors are available to offer assistance on topics such as home health care agencies and personal care assistants, residential options (independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing), day programs or companionship programs, hospice care, care for the caregiver, and Medicare.

Getting Ready for Retirement

As you look forward to retirement, take time to review how your Servier benefits will support your future financial well-being and overall peace of mind. Exploring your options and making informed decisions will empower you to embrace this new phase with confidence and security.

  • Retirement Savings: Ensure you are maximizing your retirement savings deferrals, including catch-up contributions. Make any changes needed in Fidelity and take a moment to complete the Financial Wellness Checkup to ensure you are on track to meet your goals. Fidelity also offers many resources and workshops including a tool for exploring health insurance options if retiring before age 65.
  • Retirement Planning: Do you want to double-check your retirement plan or create a retirement budget? Meet with a CAPTRUST Financial Advisor to discuss your retirement goals, reevaluate your risk tolerance, calculate your income potential, review and estimate Social Security benefits and payment options, review your family, estate and insurance planning documents, and much more.
  • Understanding Medicare: Connect with an Alight Health Pro who can assist you with understanding the different parts of Medicare and how it works with other plans such as an employer plan. They can also provide you with Medicare resources and helpful hints. KGA, Servier’s Employee Assistance Program provider, also has experts to provide guidance on Medicare and assist you with choosing a Medicare and supplemental plan that is right for you.
  • Legal Considerations: Reach out to LegalEASE, if enrolled, for help with establishing a will or trust, living will, power of attorney or other legal matters. Not enrolled? Not a problem – KGA also has financial and legal experts who can provide retirement and estate planning consultations.
