Eligibility

Employee

Regular employees scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week are eligible to participate in Servier’s health programs, group disability plan, and flexible spending accounts.

All regular employees age 21 years and older, regardless of the number of hours worked per week, are eligible to participate in the Servier 401(k) Plan.

Generally, all Servier employees are eligible for our work/life benefit programs regardless of age or the number of hours worked per week.

Most benefits are effective on your date of hire, unless otherwise noted.

Dependent

Your eligible dependents include:

  • Your spouse or domestic partner (as defined below)
  • Children through the end of the month that they turn 26, including:
    • Biological
    • Adopted
    • Foster
    • Stepchildren
    • Children of a domestic partner
  • Your disabled children of any age

Your domestic partner means the same-sex or opposite-sex domestic partner of a Servier Pharmaceuticals employee if both meet the following requirements and complete an Affidavit of Domestic Partnership:

  • You are both at least 18 years old;
  • You are both capable of consenting to the partnership;
  • Neither of you is married to or the domestic partner of another person under either statutory or common law;
  • You are not related by blood or to a degree of closeness that would prevent you from being married in the state where you both reside;
  • You share the same permanent residence and the common necessities of life;
  • You have a single dedicated relationship of at least 6 month duration; and
  • You are financially interdependent and able to furnish the documents listed in the Affidavit in support of such financial interdependence.

How to Enroll or Make Changes

Visit ADP to enroll in, change, or view your current plan elections, dependent information, and/or beneficiaries.

Did You Know?

When enrolling dependents you may be asked to submit eligibility documentation such as a marriage or birth certificate, as well as dependent information including birthdate and SSN in order to finalize your dependents coverage.

Enrolling in or changing your benefit elections

You have three opportunities to enroll in or change benefits during the year:

  • As a New Hire: Newly hired employees must enroll in Servier’s benefits within 30 days of hire date. If you miss your New Hire enrollment period, your next opportunity to enroll will be during the annual Open Enrollment period, unless you have a Qualifying Life Event.
  • Open Enrollment: This is your annual opportunity to enroll in or make changes to your benefit coverage for the following plan year. The Open Enrollment period is typically held in the fall, and the benefit elections made during this period will be effective January 1 of the following year.
  • Upon a Qualifying Life Event: You may make changes to your benefits within 30 days of experiencing a Qualifying Life Event. These events include:
    • A change in marital status (marriage, divorce, legal separation, etc)
    • Birth or adoption of a child
    • Death of a dependent
    • Change in employment status
    • Loss or gain of other insurance coverage
    • Change in dependent eligibility (for example, your child ages out of coverage)

Please note that this section only applies to Servier’s health and welfare, group disability plans, and flexible spending accounts. You may make changes to your 401(k), Health Savings Account (HSA) and Commuter Plan elections at any time.
